Delaware City Council has a light agenda at its regular meeting Monday.

The council will be formally introduced to Susie Bibler, the new executive director of Main Street Delaware, which are known for putting on First Fridays in downtown Delaware. Bibler replaces Frances Jo Hamilton, who was hired by Main Street’s parent nonprofit, Heritage Ohio, as its director of revitalization.

Bibler started her new job two weeks ago as of today.

She was hired out of 30 applicants for for her connections with the community, experience in development and with volunteers and “outstanding personality,” said Chip Gregory, president of Main Street’s board of directors.

Additionally, the council will consider legislation to allow the city manager enter into an agreement with Heritage Ohio to sponsor Main Street Delaware. Further information was not available.

In other business, the council will consider legislation to annex 2.856 acres of land at the northwest corner of Cheshire Road and Glenn Parkway for the future site of a fire station.

Also, City Attorney Darren Shulman will talk about ethics and records training.

The meeting will take place at City Hall, 1 S. Sandusky St., 7 p.m. in council chambers.
