From snowy hikes and a wintry evening at Gallant Farm, to cozy afternoons indoors spent making dreamcatchers or terrariums, Preservation Parks offers more than 30 nature and farm programs this winter.

Those interested can pick up a Winter Program Guide in the parks and from all Delaware County libraries and other county locations.

Guides also can be downloaded from our website, www.preservationparks.com, and programs are listed on the on-line calendar. To be added to the mailing or email list, please send a message to [email protected].

In addition, registrations are being take for day camps being held during students’ winter break. Winter Survival Camp will focus on Ohio animals and how they survive the cold through hibernation, migration and adaptation. Participants also will learn survival techniques humans use to make it through the cold. Winter Survival Camps will be held Dec. 28-30, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., for children ages 9-10.

Registration is due Dec. 21, and each day of camp costs $30.

The camps will be held at Deer Haven Park, 4183 Liberty Road. Children can enroll in one, two or three days. To register, visit www.preservationparks.com, and click on the registration button. For more information, call 740-524-8600.
