Delaware police report:

• A handgun was fired Saturday afternoon at a home on Lofton Circle. Police report a man was securing a handgun when it accidentally discharged and went through the exterior wall of his home and into his neighbor’s home. No one was injured, but the man was charged with pointing and discharging a firearm within the city limits.

• A resident on Central Avenue called police Tuesday night to report a domestic violence incident. Police arrived and mediated the situation but neither of the involved parties wanted to press charges. A report was taken, but no charges were filed.

• Police were summoned to the Certified Oil Station on East William Street Tuesday just before 1 a.m. on the report of an assault. Police spoke to a 20-year-old man with minor injuries to his head and face. The man said three other individuals that he didn’t know assaulted him in the parking lot. The man was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. Officers were able to identify the three individuals from security camera footage and arrest warrants were obtained. The investigation is ongoing.
