Traffic signal work impacts intersection

City staff will be replacing traffic signal heads and associated wiring at the Sandusky Street-Lincoln Avenue intersection Wednesday through Friday.

The signal will not be functional during work activity and the intersection will be controlled by temporary stop signage and operate as an “All-Way Stop” intersection.

Portable message boards and signage will be in place to alert motorist of the temporary intersection conditions. Questions may be directed to the Customer Service Request Line at 740-203-1810.

Historic Preservation Commission meets today

The city of Delaware Planning Commission will consider on whether to approve outdoor improvements of 9 N. Sandusky St. and 14 W. William St. at city hall, 1 S. Sandusky St., 7 p.m. in council chambers.

The commission will have an informal discussion with Bill Michailidis about the patio of the Hamburger Inn Diner, 16 N. Sandusky St., in downtown.

ODOT to open Gemini lanes

As of Tuesday’s evening commute, the Ohio Department of Transportation will have all lanes of Gemini open between Orion Place and East Powell Road. Drivers will have two lanes in each direction.

Additionally, both lanes of Worthington Road will be open in each direction between East Powell Road and Africa Road.

Worthington Road is still closed between Polaris Parkway and East Powell Road for the final phase of construction. The detour is Polaris Parkway to Orion Place to the Gemini extension or reverse.

Weather permitting, Worthington Road is expected to reopen Dec. 12.
