Delaware police report:

A woman stole cigarettes from Certified Gas on East William Street Friday morning. The cigarettes were valued at $6.15.

A car was stopped just before midnight Saturday in the area of South Washington Street and Spring Street. During the stop, police began to suspect the driver was in possession of drugs. A 17-year-old was cited for underage consumption and possession of marijuana.

A large air compressor was stolen from a garage after the owner left the door open Monday morning. The compressor was worth about $300, the owner reported.

During a traffic stop on State Route 521 Monday night, officers found the driver was in possession of a heroin-like substance. The substance was confiscated and sent to the lab for analysis. No charges were filed against the driver but police report that, if the substance proves to be heroin, he will be charged with possession of a controlled substance.
