Carlisle holds spelling bee

Carlisle Elementary School fourth-grader Libby Brookover turns to face judges Delaware City Schools Superintendent Paul Craft and former Delaware County Library Director Mary Jane Santos Thursday afternoon at Carlisle’s spelling bee. Students would be asked to spell a word by third-grade teacher Catherine Keller and would face the judges and try to spell it. Three students from third-grade, fourth-grade and fifth-grade will compete at the school spelling bee on Jan. 6.
