Couple indicted on merchandise theft

A Delaware County Grand Jury returned a 19-count indictment charging two individuals with theft, receiving stolen property and possessing criminal tools.

Jazeman Lyons, 30, of Cleveland Heights and Eric Graham, 30, of Columbus were both indicted on seven counts of theft, four fifth-degree felonies and three counts of misdemeanor theft; one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony, nine counts of receiving stolen property, six fifth-degree felonies and three first-degree misdemeanors.

Lyons is also charged with two additional counts of theft, fifth-degree felonies.

Prosecutors report the indictment comes after loss prevention officers at the Easton Macy’s location spotted unusual activity.

“A car was parked outside the Easton Macy’s when a loss prevention officer observed a female exit the store with unbagged merchandise and enter the vehicle,” Delaware County Prosecutor Carol O’Brien said. “Store surveillance showed the female had not paid for the merchandise before exiting the store.”

Police later recovered merchandise from the Macy’s location and several other retailers. Prosecutors report more than $10,000 was recovered by police.

Arraignments in Delaware County Common Pleas Court have not yet been scheduled.

Other individuals indicted by the grand jury include:

Timothy C. Armistead, of Columbus, on one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony and one count of possessing criminal tools.

Nina M. Lombardo, of Columbus, on one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony.

Josue C. Lopez, of Columbus, on one count of forgery, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Zachary J. Scott, of Lewis Center, on one count of notice of residence address change, a third-degree felony.

Terry A. Climber, of Columbus, on one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony.

Bradley Flynn, on two counts of burglary, second-degree felonies; four counts of theft, a fourth-degree felony, a fifth-degree felony and two first-degree misdemeanors and two counts of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony and a fifth-degree felony.

Charles L. Thompson III, of Marysville, on two counts of burglary, second-degree felonies; four counts of theft, a fourth-degree felony, a fifth-degree felony and two first-degree misdemeanors and two counts of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony and a fifth-degree felony.

Aisha D. Gordon, of Delaware, on one count of illegal use of food stamps or WIC program benefits, a fifth-degree felony.

Matthew S. Werth, of Columbus, on one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony and one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony.

Aaron M. Stingle, of Mount Sterling, Ohio, on two counts of gross sexual imposition, fourth-degree felonies.

James D. Wear, of Columbus, on one count of theft, a fourth-degree felony and one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony.

Savion J. Rhea, of Columbus, on one count of forgery, a fifth-degree felony; one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony and one count of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

James R. Mills, of Marion, on one count of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony; one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony; one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony and one count of criminal damaging, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Shawn L. Welch, of Ashley, on one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.

Alexis J. Johnson, of Columbus, on one count of failure to comply with order or signal of police officer, a third-degree felony and one count of endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Arraignments have not yet been scheduled in Delaware County Common Pleas Court.
