• SourcePoint – Meals on Wheels needs pickup and delivery volunteers, also medical transportation, kitchen help, delivery volunteers and Medicare teachers and counselors.
• Grace Clinic – volunteers to help in free medical clinic on Monday mornings with reception, also nurses needed to triage patients and take vital signs, blood sugars, EKGs.
• A Place of Warmth at Zion – volunteers needed for overnight help with homeless men when temperature drops below 20, police officer is on site and training is provided.
• Common Ground Free Store – help needed for both day and evening hours to run store which provides free clothing and household items and a free meal to shoppers.
• Friends of the Delaware County District Library – book loving board members sought to help with marketing, social media, book sales and committee work.
• Turning Point – help publicize the services of domestic violence shelter and counseling agency by distributing literature to multiple sites and packaging literature bundles.
• Main Street Delaware – office help needed to greet visitors and answer phones and correspondence.
• Preservation Parks – Gallant Farm in Troy Township seeks costumed interpreters to serve as farm house docent, farm interpreter, farm hand, and livestock hand.
• People in Need – food pantry volunteers needed once a week either 9 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. filling food orders, maintaining and stocking the pantry and helping visitors.
• Delaware County Court Visitor Program – Serve as the court’s eyes and ears by visiting persons under Guardianship to see whether they are receiving suitable protection and care.
• HelpLine of Delaware and Morrow Counties – Sexual Assault Response Network (SARN) needs compassionate volunteers to assist survivors of sexual assault.
• Delaware City Schools – volunteers needed for Dempsey Learning Club and Dempsey Extended Day at Dempsey Middle School, 21st CCLC Tutoring after school program at Woodward Elementary, and Dempsey Ecology Project outdoor science activities with middle and high school students.
• Moms Offering Mentoring Support – experienced moms needed for Juvenile Court Mentoring program teaching young moms proper child care until infant’s first birthday.
• Salvation Army Food Pantry – volunteers needed to answer the phone and stock pantry.
