When Shawn and Rebecca Moore’s dog picked the fresh, high-quality Pet Wants kibble out around his old food, they knew they had something special. Now the Moore family is excited to bring Pet Wants products to their community with their new business, Pet Wants Powell.

Pet Wants’ carefully developed proprietary pet food is slow-cooked in small batches with fresh, high-quality ingredients once per month, so every kibble is guaranteed to be fresh and packed with nutrition, a news release states.

Pet Wants Powell offers free, personal delivery to the north and northwest areas of Columbus, including Powell, Delaware, Lewis Center, Dublin and Upper Arlington.

“We got a sample of Pet Wants for our one-year-old Boston Terrier, Gunner, from the original store in Cincinnati and he actually weaned out the Pet Wants food around the other food we were giving him. When our own dog told us he only wanted Pet Wants, we knew we’d come across something special. Then, when we saw the difference the food made for him – his coat is beautiful and he’s healthy and happy – we knew we wanted to own our own Pet Wants,” Rebecca said.

“We are incredibly excited to spread the word about Pet Wants in our community. Our craft, small-batch food, which is made in Ohio, is truly a cut above,” Shawn added.

In addition to being made fresh monthly, Pet Wants only sources the best salmon, chicken, lamb, brown rice and other ingredients available. There’s no sugar added, no fillers and no animal by-products and Pet Wants never uses corn, wheat, soy or dyes, which makes the food suitable for animals with allergies.

For the Moore family, owning Pet Wants Powell is about more than providing food, it’s about educating pet families and helping them make the best decision for their pets.

“We at Pet Wants think the consumer has a right to be more informed, and that’s why we take the time to do more than feed your pet. We want to educate you as well. We’ll help you figure out how much you need and which of our recipes is best for your furry family,” Shawn said.

Pet Wants launched in Cincinnati in 2010 and the business was built to provide proprietary crafted, fresh, slow-cooked, high-quality pet food delivered to customers through a retail store and a convenient home-delivery service.
