The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the drowning death of a child in Westerville.

Sheriff’s officials report that Monday night at approximately 6:39 p.m. the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office responded with the Harlem Township Fire Department to the area of 11050 Fancher Road, Lot 181, Westerville, on the report of a drowning.

Two-year-old Aiden Huber was located in a pond by residents and was unresponsive. Residents then began CPR until emergency personnel arrived.

The boy was then transported to St. Ann’s hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The sheriff’s office reports Huber lived at Westerville Estates with a family member.

The case is still under investigation.
