Free park programs slated

The public may attend four free events sponsored by Preservation Parks of Delaware County.

They include:

• “After Groundhog Day Winter Ramble,” Saturday, Feb. 6, 1 p.m. A winter walk through woods and meadows. After the walk, hot drinks will be served in front of the shelter fireplace. Ages 21 and up. Co-sponsor: SourcePoint. Emily Traphagan Park, 5094 Seldom Seen Road, Powell.

• “There’s ‘Snow’body Like You,” Sunday, Feb. 14, 2 to 4:30 p.m. A winter hike on Valentine’s Day. Participants will make some crafts, take Valentine’s Day photos, and have cookies and hot drinks. All ages. Deer Haven Park, 4183 Liberty Road, Delaware.

• “Skunk Cabbage Hike,” Sunday, Feb. 21, 1 p.m. Learn about the first wildflower of spring, and then hike to the wet and muddy places where it grows. Wear appropriate footwear. Ages 7 and up. Shale Hollow Park, 6320 Artesian Run, Lewis Center.

• Delaware County Bird Club, Monday, Feb. 22, 7 to 9 p.m. Preservation Parks staff will discuss “Habitats and Monitoring,” followed by refreshments. All ages. Deer Haven Park.
