Volunteer Kim Danner serves up Thanksgiving dinner at the Hamburger Inn Diner in Downtown Delaware Wednesday. The Hamburger Inn closed for the morning Wednesday to have an employee Thanksgiving celebration and reopened at 3 p.m. to serve free dinner to those who came by the restaurant until 9 p.m. Danner volunteered to help after a friend told her about the dinner. “He told me about this and I said, ‘Can I help?’” she said. “So I brought me and my three children.” The restaurant prepared 60 turkeys and “all the fixings” for the yearly event.
