A bridge on Perry Road between Home Road and Orange Road in Liberty Township is scheduled to reopen on Christmas Eve. The steel-structure bridge closed on Oct. 21 to be retrofitted with a concrete slab, but the construction was delayed by weather, said Rob Riley, Chief Deputy Engineer for the Delaware County Engineer's Office. “We're in the home stretch now, and we shouldn't have any more delays,” he said. The concrete deck, poured Tuesday, is now covered with burlap and tarp to allow it to cure, which will take two to three weeks.
