The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a suspect who robbed a Sunbury church Monday.

Deputies responded to the Northgate Church, 7097 S.R. 37 E., Sunbury, and were provided with two images from surveillance cameras of a suspect that broke into the church, stole items and caused damage to the building between 4 p.m. Sunday and noon Monday, according to the DCSO report.

The suspect stole items from a vending machine and money after entering through a rear door to the church.

A DCSO spokesperson, who provided to images to the media Thursday, said the images are blurry, but that they are asking for any information possible. She said a few tips have come in since the images were released, but DCSO detectives are still looking for leads.

Anyone with information on the robbery or suspect is asked to contact DCSO at 740-833-2830 or dcsodetectives@co.delaware.oh.us.
