A “Brave the Shave!” fundraiser to fight childhood cancer was held Saturday on the patio of Son of Thurman. Darren Barr of Sunbury, from left, Gavin Moore of Delaware, Anthony LaNasa of Delaware, Joe Pershing of Neptune Hose Co. and Bryan Dunham of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department were among 63 people getting their heads shaved by Delaware Hair & Spa Volunteers. The effort is estimated to have raised about $29,179.
