The Delaware Ministerial Association invites the public to participate in two observances for Good Friday, April 18.

The Walk with the Cross begins at 11 a.m. in front of St. Mary Church. The walk proceeds through downtown, stopping at six sites. At each site, a speaker will share how the cross of Christ sheds light on this particular aspect of life. The walk will conclude at St. Mary Church at noon, at which time an ecumenical service will take place inside the church.

The Rev. Tim Chesser, pastor of First Baptist Church, will offer the sermon titled “Hearing or Understanding?” based on Luke 22:63-71. Special music will be offered by members of the Delaware Community Chorus, under the direction of Daniel Hursey and by Ohio Wesleyan University vocal performance major Brianna Robinson, accompanied by Muriel Byers, organist at St. Mary Church. An offering will be received for Delaware County Habitat for Humanity.

St. Mary’s Church is at 82 E. William St., in Delaware.
