To the editor:
Once again, the Vintage Auto Club has pulled off a great success. The downtown car show this past Saturday was great.
Even with the extremely hot weather, about 600 vehicles were on display. When I arrived at 6 a.m. to make sure I got my favorite parking spots, the car club staff was already there prepping everything for the day. Everything was thought of. Live entertainment, food court, traffic control, trash cans, portable toilets, etc. — nothing was forgotten. The registration process was well-organized and went fast.
At the end of the day, the well-designed trophies were presented quickly. I really enjoyed the chance to talk to others about their cars and also to share with others about mine. The day went fast, leaving me looking forward to next year. This is truly the car guy and gal’s social event of the year.
Plus, Home Reach Hospice benefits from more than $250,000 in donations since 1993 from the club. What a great asset to Delaware. Thank you, Vintage Auto Club, for all you do!
