Class reunion for Hayes

The Delaware Hayes High School Class of 1976 will have its reunion at the Backstretch Bar and Grill, 14 S. Sandusky St., in downtown Delaware 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Parks & Rec meeting canceled

With the Delaware County Fair in session, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will not meet at its scheduled time 7 p.m. today. The next meeting is scheduled in October.

Special session set by commissioners

Delaware County Commissioners will hold a special session at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

It will take place in the commissioners hearing room and will adjourn into executive session for consideration of employment of a public employee or official.

Car seat check at AAA Saturday

Saturday is National Seat Check Saturday. The Delaware General Health District and AAA will hold a car seat check event at the Delaware AAA store.

Hours are 9 a.m. to noon.

East Powell Road not closing

The Delaware County Engineer will be not be closing East Powell Road between Hickory Ridge Court and Bale Kenyon Road for the reconstruction of the west leg of the intersect at this time.

The construction is deferred and closure is expected in October. Further notice will be issued.
