Olentangy Liberty freshman Teegan Pifher drives past a Hilliard Bradley defender during the first half of a non-league contest earlier this season in Powell. Pifher, just a freshman, is the Delaware All-County girls basketball Player of the Year. She led the county in scoring, pouring in 12.6 points per game while adding 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Her rebounding numbers were fourth-best in the county. The Patriots finished 16-8 overall and 8-2 in league play on their way to a third consecutive OCC championship. Big Walnut’s Steve Palmer nabbed Coach of the Year honors for leading the Golden Eagles to a 15-9 mark just a season after they finished 8-15. BW also won a tournament game, its first since the 2012-13 season. See page 10 for the complete rundown of the teams.
