Cincinnati was abuzz this week heading into the annual matchup between the city’s major collegiate basketball programs, Cincinnati and Xavier. Coming into the game, Xavier was ranked as the 8th best team in the nation and so it wasn’t surprising that as the final seconds ticked off the clock, Xavier was winning by a comfortable margin.

A Powell company that has been doing student athlete drug testing since the late ’90s in the Olentangy School District has presented a proposal to offer the service for free while the district evaluates if it can afford to bring it back.
A 19-year-old Delaware man will pay for his decision to leave his infant son at home while he held up a local pizza shop at gunpoint. Delaware County Court of Common Pleas Judge Everett H. Krueger on Thursday sentenced Brad Lee Miller, of 60 Griswold St., to three years in prison. He will be eligible for early release after six months. Miller pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and child endangerment last month.
