After a couple of tumultuous years for the Delaware County Bank in which it dealt with financial losses and branch closures, its financial outlook is improving under new leadership.
In perhaps the most public illustration of recent troubles for Delaware County Bank, the Lewis Center-based company announced Thursday it will close five of its 19 branches later this year as a cost savings move. Three of the five affected locations are in Delaware County: Ostrander’s only bank branch will close, along with a location on West William Street in Delaware and a location on Polaris Parkway in Columbus, parent company DCB Financial Corp. announced in a news release Thursday.
