After spending more than a third of a century in the Buckeye Valley Local School District — first as a student-athlete, then as a teacher and coach and finally as athletic director — Carol Evans is moving on to the next chapter in her life.

Hundreds of Buckeye Valley School District residents had an opportunity to air their grievances to school board members Wednesday night about the two options presented by superintendent Jamie Grube to reduce the district’s budget by at least $1.3 million ahead of next school year.

About 150 locals streamed in and out of the the Arts Castle Sunday for the opening reception of the organization’s annual Delaware County High School Art Show. This year’s exhibit features about 200 works of art from nearly 150 area students representing seven county high schools.
