As cel­lu­lar phone and Inter­net tech­nol­ogy advances by leaps and bounds, ama­teur radio oper­a­tors strug­gle to main­tain rel­e­vance in soci­ety and keep the pub­lic informed of the ben­e­fits of ama­teur radio, also known as HAM. The Delaware Ama­teur Radio Asso­ci­a­tion, or DELARA, is a com­mu­nity of HAM radio oper­a­tors that is ded­i­cated to spread­ing aware­ness of ama­teur radio tech­niques and activ­i­ties. For more than 25 years, DELARA mem­bers have worked together to get licensed as ama­teur radio oper­a­tors and hold meet­ings to dis­cuss equip­ment and procedures.
