Full-time Pelotonian: Powell scientist works year-round for cancer research
The Pelotonia bike ride might be a once-a-year hobby for Powell resident Mitch Phelps, but the cause it supports is his career. A 1992 Ohio Wesleyan graduate, Phelps, 41, has pulled out his mountain bike the past three years. Participants in the grassroots cancer research fundraising bike ride can choose their route and distance, either 25-, 43-, 80-, 102– or 180-mile ride, some that traverse through the hilly regions of Hocking County.
