Mild winter means less road salt needed for county next year
After an unusually mild winter in which the county was required to use very little salt on its roadways, the Delaware County Engineer’s Office this year will need to purchase about half the amount of salt that it normally does, commissioners learned Monday.
Transmission line public hearing draws few comments
The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) held a public hearing earlier this week at the Big Walnut High School Auditorium to hear public concerns about the Trent-Vassell 138 kV Transmission Line Project. The Trent-Vassell Transmission Line would connect the Vassell Substation east of Sunbury, now under construction, to American Electric Power’s existing Trent-Delaware 138kV Line.
