Piecing together the library’s display of quilts

The quilts are back! The wonderfully talented members of the Delaware Piecemakers Quilt Guild have once again graciously lent their quilts to the Delaware County District Library for a month-long display at the Delaware Main Library, 84 E. Winter St., to celebrate Nation Quilt Month. The quilts, draped artistically from the railing on the mezzanine enhance the Library with color, creativity and warmth.

Summer reading program kick off

It’s that time of year again — time for the Delaware County District Library to kick off its summer reading program at all four locations — Delaware Main, Ostrander, Powell and Orange.

Buying rather than borrowing books

The first Saturday of each month, I devote the bulk of my column to listing a selected number of new books that are due out during the coming few weeks. Borrowing books from the Delaware County District Library is inarguably a great way to save money, and for that reason alone, using the resources that your tax dollars have paid for makes great sense.
