It started with a used wheel­chair donated by Michael Corbett’s mother-in-law and mor­phed into the Delaware Cre­ative Hous­ing and Cre­ative Liv­ing System’s lend­ing library with more than 300 pieces of used but durable med­ical equip­ment avail­able to any­one in need. Each year, more than 100 pieces of equip­ment are given away to area res­i­dents with disabilities.

WASHINGTON — Trea­sury Sec­re­tary Tim­o­thy Gei­th­ner offered a bull­ish assess­ment Tues­day of the chances of suc­cess for Vice Pres­i­dent Joe Biden and a bipar­ti­san band of law­mak­ers try­ing to craft a deal to slash the fed­eral bud­get and raise the debt limit.
