Superintendents for the Buckeye Valley and Delaware City school districts made their cases Thursday night at a voter education event for why their districts’ residents should agree to give them more tax money this November.
The locations and dates for a series of informal hearings for people who are concerned with their 2011 Delaware County property revaluation have been set.
This year’s unprecedented property revaluation by the Delaware County Auditor’s Office is expected to shave nearly $1 billion of property value from county tax registers.

Delaware County Auditor George Kaitsa has blood drawn as part of a wellness screening at the Delaware County/city employee health fair Friday morning at Carlisle Elementary. This is the event’s 14th year. The fair is meant to give employees an opportunity to prevent health problems through early screening and detection.
