Ohio High­way Patrol Sgt. Aaron Reimer gives a pre­sen­ta­tion on firearm safety to a group of fifth graders from Willis Inter­me­di­ate School dur­ing the annual Kids Safety Scene event Tues­day at the Delaware County Fair. The hands-on pro­gram, hosted by Grady Memo­r­ial Hos­pi­tal and the Delaware County EMA with help from 20 local orga­ni­za­tions, is intended to increase safety aware­ness among stu­dents. Delaware career center student killed in crash

Delaware Area Career Cen­ter stu­dent Ken­neth Ruzika was killed Tues­day in a crash near Mill Run Cross­ing. Police and para­medics arrived on the scene shortly before 11 a.m., Delaware City Police Capt. Bruce Pijanowski said. Ruzika, who was a pas­sen­ger in the car, was pro­nounced dead at the scene.

Beu­lah “Bee” J. Myers, 84, a life­long res­i­dent of Delaware passed away early Fri­day (April 13, 2012) at Grady Memo­r­ial Hospital.
