Report shows Great Lakes shipping economic impact

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Cargo ship­ping in the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River nav­i­ga­tion sys­tem sup­ports 227,000 jobs and pumps bil­lions into the U.S. and Cana­dian economies, says an industry-funded report released Tuesday.

Delaware Local Menu event slated this week

Nearly a dozen local restau­rants have part­nered with Sus­tain­able Delaware to bring the first “Delaware Local Menu” event to town this week, from Sun­day, Aug. 21, through Sat­ur­day, Aug. 27.
