Bishops roll past Lions

Buckeye Valley alum interns at the Pentagon

For many, summer internships are filled with days of fetching coffee and making copies. For Ostrander’s Kyle Nappi, they were filled with days brushing shoulders with four-star generals. Nappi, who has an extensive collection of autographs and biographical information from military veterans from all over the world, this summer worked as an intern in the Department of Defense at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

Army: Some Arlington markers may need replacement

ARLINGTON, Va. — Thousands of grave markers at Arlington National Cemetery may need to be replaced or added to accurately account for the dead, following a meticulous Army review of each of the nearly 260,000 headstones and niche covers on the grounds. In a report to Congress on Thursday, the Army found potential discrepancies between headstones and cemetery paperwork on about 64,000 grave markers — about one in four.

Cincinnati was abuzz this week heading into the annual matchup between the city’s major collegiate basketball programs, Cincinnati and Xavier. Coming into the game, Xavier was ranked as the 8th best team in the nation and so it wasn’t surprising that as the final seconds ticked off the clock, Xavier was winning by a comfortable margin.

Bishops ride 28-0 first-half runto 82-70 NCAC nod over Allegheny

Six and counting …Ohio Wesleyan, sparked by a 28–0 opening-half run, rolled to its sixth straight victory with an 82–70 North Coast Athletic Conference decision over Allegheny in front of an appreciative crowd Saturday afternoon at Branch Rickey Arena. The contest marked the NCAC opener for both teams.
