Judge sentences Ohio killer of 11 to death

CLEVELAND — A ser­ial killer was sen­tenced to death Fri­day for mur­der­ing 11 trou­bled women and scat­ter­ing their remains around his prop­erty, hor­rors that shook the city over police han­dling of crime in poor neighborhoods.

Man who left infant alone to rob pizza shop gets 3 years

A 19-year-old Delaware man will pay for his deci­sion to leave his infant son at home while he held up a local pizza shop at gun­point. Delaware County Court of Com­mon Pleas Judge Everett H. Krueger on Thurs­day sen­tenced Brad Lee Miller, of 60 Gris­wold St., to three years in prison. He will be eli­gi­ble for early release after six months. Miller pleaded guilty to aggra­vated rob­bery, car­ry­ing a con­cealed weapon and child endan­ger­ment last month.
