Delaware County woman seeks to stamp out dog auctions

When Lewis Cen­ter res­i­dent Mary O’Connor-Shaver attended her first dog auc­tion in 2006, she knew that some­thing needed to be done to put an end to the events where hun­dreds of dis­carded puppy mill dogs, often­times in poor health, are sold to the high­est bidder.
