5 accused in attempted theft of dead lion

TOLEDO — Five peo­ple have been accused of try­ing to steal the car­cass of a lion that was among dozens of exotic ani­mals set free from an Ohio pri­vate com­pound and shot dead by sheriff’s deputies last month.

The Cat­e­gory 3 storm with winds of 115 mph — the thresh­old for a major hur­ri­cane — would be the strongest to strike the East Coast in seven years, and peo­ple were already get­ting out of the way.

COLUMBUS — The own­ers of an Ohio restau­rant touted last week by Pres­i­dent Barack Obama as an indi­rect ben­e­fi­ciary of the government’s Chrysler bailout said Thurs­day that tough times are putting them out of business.
