A 12 year-old boy from the Sunbury area is expected to face felony charges, including murder, accusing him of shooting and killing his mother’s fiance early Saturday morning. The boy, about five-foot-two with wavy shoulder-length brown hair with shackles on his ankles and wrists, appeared in Delaware County Juvenile Court Monday. He was flanked by two public defenders and a court-appointed guardian. During the hearing, Juvenile Judge Kenneth J. Spicer ruled that the boy will be held in a juvenile detention facility in Marysville, where had had spent the weekend, for the immediate future.
