Coast Guard to Italian captain: Go back aboard!

ROME (AP) — “You go on board! Is that clear? Do you hear me?” the Coast Guard offi­cer shouted as the cap­tain of the grounded Costa Con­cor­dia sat safe in a life raft and fran­tic pas­sen­gers strug­gled to escape after the ship rammed into a reef off the Tus­can coast.

Boy likely to face murder charge over shooting death

A 12 year-old boy from the Sun­bury area is expected to face felony charges, includ­ing mur­der, accus­ing him of shoot­ing and killing his mother’s fiance early Sat­ur­day morn­ing. The boy, about five-foot-two with wavy shoulder-length brown hair with shack­les on his ankles and wrists, appeared in Delaware County Juve­nile Court Mon­day. He was flanked by two pub­lic defend­ers and a court-appointed guardian. Dur­ing the hear­ing, Juve­nile Judge Ken­neth J. Spicer ruled that the boy will be held in a juve­nile deten­tion facil­ity in Marysville, where had had spent the week­end, for the imme­di­ate future.
