3 soldiers killed in Afghan attack were from Ohio

COLUMBUS — Three U.S. sol­diers killed in a sui­cide attack this week in Afghanistan were from Ohio, as were sev­eral oth­ers seri­ously wounded in the bomb­ing, the Ohio National Guard said Thursday.

John Kasich signed into law a nearly $56 bil­lion state bud­get that con­tains broad pol­icy changes for the state, includ­ing a plan to pri­va­tize sev­eral pris­ons and tie teach­ers’ pay more closely to stu­dent achievement.
