BV community asks for hold on cuts

Hun­dreds of Buck­eye Val­ley School Dis­trict res­i­dents had an oppor­tu­nity to air their griev­ances to school board mem­bers Wednes­day night about the two options pre­sented by super­in­ten­dent Jamie Grube to reduce the district’s bud­get by at least $1.3 mil­lion ahead of next school year.

Unhappy with the two options pre­sented to the board of edu­ca­tion ear­lier this month by Buck­eye Val­ley Super­in­ten­dent Jamie Grube, a group of Rad­nor area res­i­dents is prepar­ing to present dis­trict offi­cials with a “Plan C” to close the pro­jected $1.3 mil­lion bud­get short­fall in the 2012–13 school year and sal­vage Buck­eye Val­ley North Ele­men­tary in the process.
