US factory output rises, but construction falls

WASHINGTON — U.S. fac­to­ries stepped up hir­ing and pro­duc­tion in March, the lat­est evi­dence that man­u­fac­tur­ing is grow­ing at a healthy pace and fuel­ing the recovery.
