“Delaware Artists Are Inspired by Books.” What a lovely idea! And what a lovely exhibit of several pieces of art created by members of the Delaware Artists Guild that is currently on display at the Delaware County District Library’s Main Library, 84 E. Winter St. Featuring several different types of media and artistic techniques, the exhibit highlights books that gave the artists inspiration to create.
A remarkable event occurred at the Delaware County District Library this week. The library’s circulation (the number of items you have checked out) surpassed one million for the year, and as of this writing, the number stands at 1,007,538. Thank you, Delaware, for your support of the library.

Wesner has been a resident intermittently for 25 years, but since her last return, she noticed that beautiful scenes are disappearing daily, and she is trying to capture the rural side of Delaware County before it vanishes to growth and development.
