Study: Delaware County senior population outpacing other counties in state

Delaware County is not only the fastest grow­ing county in the state of Ohio, it is also gray­ing more rapidly than any other county in the Buck­eye State, accord­ing to a report released this week by the Scripps Geron­tol­ogy Cen­ter at Miami University.

CINCINNATI — Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial cam­paign­ing in Ohio is start­ing to warm up after months of lit­tle activ­ity, while polls have indi­cated a volatile race. Ohio, with 66 del­e­gates at stake, offers the second-most behind Geor­gia among 10 states with a pri­mary or cau­cus on March 6, dubbed “Super Tuesday.”

Graham Bowling is Teen of the Year

The decades-old Teen of the Week event this year was spon­sored by Colum­bus State Com­mu­nity Col­lege and The Delaware Gazette. More than 100 teens, par­ents and com­mu­nity mem­bers attended this year’s recep­tion that acknowl­edged the 30 teens fea­tured weekly as the Teen of the Week over the past school year. The event also her­alded the announce­ment for Teen of the Year. This year the honor went to Hayes High School senior Gra­ham Bowl­ing, who is also the recip­i­ent of a $2,500 scholarship.
