MIAMI — Political leaders, sport stars and entertainers were among several thousand people who gathered Sunday at a Miami rally to call for an arrest in the fatal shooting of an unarmed Florida teenager by a neighborhood watch volunteer.
Major Little Brown Jug contenders Up The Credit and Big Jim are among 18 colts and one filly entered in Saturday’s eliminations for the $1 million Meadowlands Pace. Thirteen of the colts and the filly Drop The Ball are also eligible to the Little Brown Jug.The top five finishers in each of the two $50,000 eliminations will advance to the Meadowlands Pace Final on July 16.

Ohio’s Big Bad John is the 2–1 morning line favorite for Saturday’s $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup for 3-year-old pacers at Mohawk Racetrack, near Toronto.
