Smart phone activity another area for parents to monitor
If your child does not already have a smart phone, chances are he or she will be asking for one. It is estimated there are more than 2.4 billion smart phones being used worldwide and the Apple iPhone and Motorola Android seem to be the most popular for teens. Smart phones have changed the way we consume information with the many applications or “apps,” as we know them, that can be downloaded onto the phone.

US stocks fall on European economic, debt worries
NEW YORK — Worries about Europe’s economic and debt problems sent stocks Tuesday to their first loss in four days. The major indexes bounced up and down in another volatile day. The Dow Jones industrial average fell more than 120 points in the first half hour of trading after a report showed that Germany’s economy stalled last quarter and dragged down growth for Europe.
