Dur­ing emo­tional tes­ti­mony Wednes­day, an at times tear­ful Joel Sell­ers told jurors that, on the day he shot and killed his child­hood friend, he didn’t think that friend would stop hit­ting him. “I thought, ‘Wow, when is this going to stop?’ I kept say­ing, ‘Please. Please stop. You win.’ I was telling him he could have his way,” Sell­ers said dur­ing tes­ti­mony on the third day of his mur­der trial in the Delaware County Com­mon Pleas court­room of Judge Everett H. Krueger.
