
In perhaps the most public illustration of recent troubles for Delaware County Bank, the Lewis Center-based company announced Thursday it will close five of its 19 branches later this year as a cost savings move. Three of the five affected locations are in Delaware County: Ostrander’s only bank branch will close, along with a location on West William Street in Delaware and a location on Polaris Parkway in Columbus, parent company DCB Financial Corp. announced in a news release Thursday.

WASHINGTON — Parents seeking healthier restaurant meals for their kids can start to look beyond chicken nuggets and macaroni-and-cheese. At least 19 restaurant chains — including Burger King, Chili’s, IHOP and Friendly’s — said Wednesday that they will include healthier options on their children’s menus. At least 15,000 restaurant locations will focus on increasing servings of fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains and low-fat dairy. The items will have less fats, sugars and sodium.
