
A group of Buckeye Valley East Elementary students will show off their patriotism tomorrow with the premier of “Red, White and Blues,” an opera about a group of students determined to win a Most Patriotic Classroom Contest and their classmate Sam who is not so patriotic.

Several years ago, when The Ohio State University gave a new contract to then head football coach Jim Tressel, Case Study examined the terms of the coach’s contract. Shaun Bendele had an easy time of it showing his brown alpaca, Lady Solstice Rose Wednesday. The animal’s calmness resulted in Shaun earning the Alpaca/Llama Showman of Showmen at the Delaware County Fair. Shaun, 10, a second-year presenter, attributed his success to the amount of time spent working with Lady.

Delaware County commissioners are nearing a decision on hiring a new community relations director, having narrowed the field down to six finalists.

High school students bridged the ever-widening generational gap with World War II veterans Tuesday with an $8,000 check. A group of Olentangy Liberty High School (OLHS) students raised the money for Honor Flight, a network that allows veterans to visit World War II memorials in Washington, D.C. at no charge.
