“Delaware Artists Are Inspired by Books.” What a lovely idea! And what a lovely exhibit of several pieces of art created by members of the Delaware Artists Guild that is currently on display at the Delaware County District Library’s Main Library, 84 E. Winter St. Featuring several different types of media and artistic techniques, the exhibit highlights books that gave the artists inspiration to create.

The Arts Castle will host a Public Paint-Out from 9:30 a.m. to noon June 11. The Paint-Out ties into the Castle’s newest exhibit, “At Face Value: Portrait Artists of Central Ohio.”; The event, made possible by a grant from PNC Arts Alive, welcomes anyone and everyone free of charge to join professional artists in drawing live models from The Arts Castle’s dance and yoga programs in and around the historic 1854 mansion. Artists are welcome to bring their own supplies, but The Arts Castle will have graphite, paper, erasers and boards available for everyone to use. Free refreshments will also be served.
