Civil War re-enactment returns to Sunbury

Seces­sion threat­ened to per­ma­nently divide the nation in 1861. Dur­ing the five-year Civil War there were 1.1 mil­lion casu­al­ties and 620,000 deaths as both sides fought to main­tain their way of life. To honor those who fought on both sides and to show the effect of bat­tle on Ohioans, the Rose­crans Head­quar­ters Unit, a Civil War re-enactment group based at the Myers Inn on Sun­bury Vil­lage Square, is spon­sor­ing a Civil War re-enactment and Liv­ing His­tory Pageant in Sun­bury on Fri­day, Sat­ur­day and Sunday.
