Remains of 10 Ohio veterans found are buried

DAYTON — Vet­er­ans and civil­ians stood side by side to honor 10 Ohio vet­er­ans whose remains were buried Tues­day with full mil­i­tary hon­ors, sev­eral months after they were found in a funeral home basement.

Michael R. Teets, 70, of Rad­nor passed away Tues­day (April 24, 2012) at River­side Methodist Hospital.

Three Delaware County vet­er­ans have con­tin­ued serv­ing oth­ers even after com­plet­ing their com­mit­ment to the mil­i­tary. In recog­ni­tion of that ser­vice, they were each declared “out­stand­ing vet­er­ans” dur­ing a Vet­er­ans Day cer­e­mony at the Delaware County Cen­ter for Older Adults.
