Sev­eral years ago, when The Ohio State Uni­ver­sity gave a new con­tract to then head foot­ball coach Jim Tres­sel, Case Study exam­ined the terms of the coach’s con­tract. With Tres­sel now work­ing as a game day con­sul­tant for the win­less Indi­anapo­lis Colts (and rumored to be under con­sid­er­a­tion to coach at UCLA), it seems only fair to give the same scrutiny to the con­tract signed by new head coach Urban Meyer.

Tony J. Peterle, 86, of Delaware, for­mer chair­man of The Ohio State Uni­ver­sity Zool­ogy Depart­ment and area sculp­tor passed away unex­pect­edly Tues­day evening (Nov. 15, 2011) in the Emer­gency Room of Grady Memo­r­ial Hospital.

Powell incumbent, two newcomers in Bennehoof, Crites earn seats

Incum­bent Richard Cline, as well as new­com­ers Jon Ben­nehoof and Mike Crites, snagged the elec­tion bids for three open seats on Pow­ell City Coun­cil. Cline was the lone coun­cil mem­ber seek­ing his seat after sit­ting coun­cil mem­bers Don Grubbs and Art Schultz (who also cur­rently serves as Pow­ell mayor) did not file for re-election.

Leneghan ousts Mann from Liberty Township seat

Melanie Leneghan ousted sit­ting Lib­erty Town­ship trustee Bob Mann Tues­day. Mann is also the Delaware County Repub­li­can party chair­man. Leneghan, 46, was excited by the elec­tion results.
