Veterans recognized at annual ceremony
Three Delaware County veterans have continued serving others even after completing their commitment to the military. In recognition of that service, they were each declared “outstanding veterans” during a Veterans Day ceremony at the Delaware County Center for Older Adults.
Vietnam vet, OWU alumni, donate memorial to OWU
One could pass the new memorial on Ohio Wesleyan’s campus just as easily as letting Veterans Day come and go without recognition. That was the intention. Dick Cassell’s intention.

Ashley drops regular season finale
It wasn’t Old-Timers Night at Oxford Township Park Friday. It was more like Veterans Day.Two former Ashley American Legion players suited up again to help fill a depleted Post 518 roster, but the Dublin Coffman Elite was still able to get a pair of three-run innings early and hold on for a 6–3 victory in Post 518’s final game of the season.

Olentangy students give $8k to WWII veterans
High school students bridged the ever-widening generational gap with World War II veterans Tuesday with an $8,000 check. A group of Olentangy Liberty High School (OLHS) students raised the money for Honor Flight, a network that allows veterans to visit World War II memorials in Washington, D.C. at no charge.
